As part of the 22 March World Water Day activities, we visited the Meski drinking water and filter museum with our students.  We learned the importance of water and saving measures through the explanation of authorized persons.  We observed the processing of water to be used in residences.

Let's protect the water of tomorrow  We know that water is indispensable for a sustainable future, and we protect our future by ensuring that water is used in the most efficient way with the smart irrigation system. The most basic source of life, water, which is an indispensable element of the ecosystem, unfortunately came to the point of extinction as a result of climate change, drought and uncontrolled use of resources. The efficient use of our resources is more vital than ever.

"GOING TO THE SUSTAINABLE FUTURE" ETWINNING PROJECT MASCOT /SEVGİ EŞKİ ÇELİK 15 T

When we feel utterly overwhelmed by the constant bombardment of the problems we face, remember the story of the Hummingbird, an old African tale.

A great fire broke out in a giant forest. All the animals in the forest fled and began to watch the forest burn in sadness. They felt extremely exhausted, helpless and powerless. Except for a tiny hummingbird.

The hummingbird said, "I must do something to put out this fire," and went to the nearest stream and took a drop of water in its beak, then flew to the forest and left it on the fire. He was flying up and down as fast as he could, leaving the drops on the fire. At that time, all the other animals were watching the fire helplessly.

There were even elephants among them that could carry much more water with their huge trunks.

They asked the hummingbird: “What do you think you can do? You are a small bird, this fire is huge. You little wings, tiny beak. You can only carry one drop of water at a time.”

While they continued to say discouraging words, the hummingbird continued to fly without wasting any time, carrying water with its beak to extinguish the fire. Meanwhile, he turned around and replied to the other animals: "I'm doing the best I can."
